S.E. of that See also:town by a See also:branch of the Great Central railway. Pop. of See also:urban See also:district of Cleethorpe with Thrunscoe (1901) 12,578. Cleethorpes faces eastward to the See also:North See also:Sea, but its See also:shore of See also:fine See also:sand, affording See also:good bathing, actually belongs to the See also:estuary of the See also:Humber. There is a See also:pier, and the sea-See also:wall extends for about a mile, forming a pleasant See also:promenade. The suburb of New Clee connects Cleethorpes with Grimsby. The See also:church of the See also:Holy Trinity and St See also:Mary is principally See also:Norman of various See also:dates, but See also:work of a date apparently previous to the See also:Conquest appears in the See also:tower.
