(1880) 10,358; (1890) 38,067; (1900) 42,638, of whom 9035 were negroes and 3381 were See also:foreign-See also:born; (1910) 92,104. See also:Area, about 15 sq. m. Dallas is served by the See also:Chicago, See also:Rock See also:Island & Pacific, the Gulf, See also:Colorado & See also:Santa Fe, the Houston & Texas Central, the See also:Missouri, See also:Kansas & Texas, the St See also:Louis See also:South-western, the Texas & New See also:Orleans, the Trinity & Brazos Valley, and the Texas & Pacific See also:railways, and by interurban electric railways to Fort See also:Worth and See also:Sherman. The See also:lower channel of the Trinity river has been greatly improved by the Federal See also:government; but in. 19o8 the river was not navigable as far as Dallas.
