Having succeeded his See also:father as duke of Orleans in 1723, he died in the See also:abbey of St See also:Genevieve at See also:Paris on the 4th of See also:February 1752. His wife See also:Augusta (d. 1726), daughter of Louis See also:William, See also:margrave of See also:Baden, See also:bore him an only son, Louis Philippe, who succeeded his father as duke of Orleans.
