It is found in See also:Brazil, See also:Guiana and See also:Paraguay, and extends its range to the Rio del Norte, „but is rare See also:north of the See also:isthmus of See also:Panama. Little is known of its habits in a wild See also:state, beyond the fact that it is a See also:forest-dweller, active in See also:movement and fierce in disposition. Several have been exhibited in the See also:London Zoological Gardens, and some have grown See also:gentle in captivity. See also:Don See also:Felix de See also:Azara wrote of one which he kept on a See also:chain that it was " as gentle and playful as any kitten could be.” The name is sometimes applied to, the See also:jaguarondi.
