JEREZ DE LOS CABALLEROS , a See also:town of See also:south-western See also:Spain, in the See also:province of See also:Badajoz, picturesquely situated on two heights overlooking the See also:river Ardila, a tributary of the See also:Guadiana, 12 M. E. of the Portuguese frontier. Pop. (1900), 10,271. The old town is surrounded by a Moorish See also:wall with six See also:gates; the newer portion is well and regularly built, and planted with numerous See also:orange and other See also:fruit trees.
