Millbury is served by the New See also:York, New Haven & See also:Hartford, and the See also:Boston & See also:Albany See also:railways, and by electric interurban railways. It lies for the most See also:part in the valley of the Blackstone river, from which See also:water-See also:power is derived for its See also:mills; among its manufactures are See also:cotton, See also:linen, See also:felt and woollen goods, See also:hemp See also:thread, and foundry and See also:machine-See also:shop products. The See also:municipality owns and operates the waterworks and electric-See also:lighting plant. Millbury was formed in 1813 from the See also:North See also:Parish of See also:Sutton; in 1851 a part of See also:Auburn was annexed to the township.
