The poem was recited at the second See also:dedication of the church (A.D. 562), in the episcopal See also:hall of thepatriarchate. The poems are of importance for the See also:history of See also:Byzantine See also:art in the 6th See also:century. Another poem (also preserved in the Anthology) on the warm See also:baths of Pythia in See also:Bithynia, written in the Anacreontic See also:rhythm, has sometimes been attributed to him.
