He was renounced by his father; then imprisoned by See also:Richelieu's orders at See also:Niort, where he was detained ten years. After having tried his fortunes in the See also:Antilles, he died in See also:Provence, leaving in destitution his wife, Jeanne de Cardillac, whom he had married in 1627. He had two See also:children, See also:Charles, father of the duchess of See also:Noailles, and Francoise, known in See also:history as Madame de Maintenon. See T.
