CADENABBIA , a See also:

village of See also:Lombardy, See also:Italy, in the See also:province of See also:Como, about 15 M. N.N.E. by steamer from the See also:town of Como. It is situated on the W. See also:shore of the See also:lake of Como, and owing to the See also:great beauty of the scenery and of the vegetation, and its sheltered situation, is a favourite See also:spring and autumn resort. The most famous of its villas is the See also:Villa Carlotta, now the See also:property of the See also:duke of See also:Saxe-See also:Meiningen, which contains See also:marble reliefs by See also:Thorwaldsen, representing the See also:triumph of See also:Alexander, and statues by See also:Canova.
