Cieza is built in a narrow See also:bend of the Segura valley, which is enclosed on the See also:north by mountains; and on the south broadens into a fertile See also:plain, producing See also:grain, See also:wine, See also:olives, raisins, oranges and See also:esparto grass. In the town itself there are See also:flour and See also:paper See also:mills, sawmills and See also:brandy distilleries. Between 187o and 1900 See also:local See also:trade and See also:population increased rapidly, owing partly to improved means of communication; and the See also:appearance of Cieza is thoroughly See also:modern.
