COBOURG , the See also:

capital of See also:Northumberland See also:county, See also:Ontario, See also:Canada, on See also:Lake Ontario and the See also:Grand See also:Trunk railway; Tom. E.N.E. of See also:Toronto. Pop. (1901) 4239. It has a large, safe See also:harbour, and steamboat communication with St See also:Lawrence and Lake Ontario ports. It contains See also:car-See also:works, foundries, and See also:carpet and woollen factories, and is a summer resort, especially for Americans. See also:Victoria University, formerly situated here, was removed to Toronto in 189o.
