He died on the 7th of See also:August 1899. Fleckeisen is chiefly known for his labours on See also:Plautus and See also:Terence; in the knowledge of these authors he was unrivalled, except perhaps by See also:Ritschl, his See also:life-See also:long friend and a worker in the same See also: See obituary See also:notice by G. Gotz in C. See also:Bursian's Biographisches Jahrbuch fur Altertumskunde (See also:xxiii., 1901), and See also:article by H.
