He was a See also:priest of the See also:Oratory, and was librarian to the See also:establishment of the See also:Order in Paris, where he spent his See also:life in seclusion. He died at Paris on the 13th of See also:August 1721. He first published a Bibliotheca sacra (1709), an See also:index of all the See also:editions of the See also:Bible, then a Bibliotheque historique de la See also:France (1719), a See also:volume of considerable See also:size, containing 17,487 items to which Lelong sometimes appends useful notes. His See also:work is far from See also:complete. He vainly hoped that his friend and successor See also:Father Desmolets, would continue it; but it was resumed by See also: " Vincentius."
