Pop. of See also:parish, which includes See also:East Sheen (19o1), 7774. It has been associated with the See also:Oxford and See also:Cambridge See also:boat-See also:race since 1845, the race See also:finishing here. The village appears in Domesday, and the See also:manor belonged to the Archbishops of See also:Canterbury until the See also:time of See also:Henry VIII., when it passed by See also:exchange to the See also:Crown. From the See also:early. See also:part of the 17th See also:century until after the See also:civil See also:wars Mortlake was celebrated for a manufacture of See also:tapestry.
