(1901) 9895 (town), 17,340 (See also:commune). It has important ironworks, foundries, See also:locomotive See also:works and See also:silk manufactures, as well as See also:sugar factories, See also:printing works and cocoon-raising establishments. It retains some traces of its See also:ancient walls, demolished in 1707, and has a See also:fine collegiate See also:church (S. See also:Andrea, in its See also:present See also:form comparatively See also:modern), and a triumphal See also:arch erected in See also:honour of the See also:marriage of See also:Charles See also:Emmanuel I. with See also:Catherine of See also:Austria.
