On his return to Florence he was entrusted with the completion of the See also:Strozzi See also:palace begun by Benedetto de Maiano, and the See also:cornice on the See also:facade has earned him lasting fame. His highly coloured accounts of Rome earned for him the See also:nickname of it Cronaca (chronicler). About 1498 he built the See also:church of See also:San See also:Francesco at See also:Monte and the See also:vestibule of the See also:sacristy of Santo Spirito. In collaboration with Guiliano da See also:Sangallo he designed the See also:great See also:hall in the Palazzo Vecchio. He was a See also:close friend and adherent of See also:Savonarola. See also Maud Cruttwell, Antonio Pollaiuolo (1907).
