Waterford is served by the See also:Delaware & Hudson See also:rail-way, and is at the junction of the See also:Erie and the See also:Champlain divisions of the See also:great See also:barge See also:canal connecting See also:Lake Erie and Lake Champlain. There was a See also:settlement here probably as See also:early as 1630, and Waterford was laid out in 1784, and was incorporated as a village in 1794.
