AZARIAH , the name of several persons mentioned in the Old Testament. (I) One of See also:

Solomon's " princes," son of Zadok the See also:priest (I See also:Kings iv. 2), was one of several Azariahs among the descendants of See also:Levi (I Chron. vi. 9, 10, 13, 36; 2 Chron. See also:xxvi. 17). (2) The son of Nathan, a high See also:official under See also:King Solomon (1 Kings iv. 5). (3) King of See also:Judah, son of A.maziah by'his wife Jecholiah (2 Kings xv. 1, 2), also called See also:Uzziah (2 Chron. xxvi. 1). (4) Son of Ethan and See also:great-See also:grandson of Judah (r Chron. ii. 8).
