Badalona has a station on the See also:coast railway from Barcelona to See also:Perpignan in See also:France, and a small See also:harbour, chiefly important for its fishing and See also:boat-See also:building trades. There are See also:gas, chemical and See also:mineral-oil See also:works in the town, which also manufactures woollen and See also:cotton goods, See also:glass, biscuits, See also:sugar and See also:brandy; while the surrounding fertile plains produce an abundance of See also:grain, See also:wine and See also:fruit. Badalona thus largely contributes to the export See also:trade of Barcelona, and may, in fact, be regarded as its See also:industrial suburb.
