He discharged several See also:diplomatic See also:missions in See also:France, See also:England, See also:Prussia, See also:Poland and Lithuania, and was one of the negotiators of the treaty of See also:Troyes (1420). In 1421 he was sent by See also:Henry V. of England to See also:Palestine to inquire into the possibility of reviving the See also:kingdom of See also:Jerusalem, and wrote an See also:account of his travels, See also:Les Pelerinages de Surye et de Egipte, which was published in 1826 and again in 1842.
