VIERZON , a See also:

town of central See also:France, in the See also:department of See also:Cher, 20 M. N.W. of See also:Bourges by See also:rail. The Cher and the Yevre unite at the See also:foot of the See also:hill on which See also:lie Vierzon-Ville (pop. (Ig06) town, 11,812) and Vierzon-See also:Village (pop. town, 2026; See also:commune, 9710); Vierzon-Bourgneuf (pop. town, 1482) is on the See also:left See also:bank of the Cher. The town has a See also:port on the See also:canal of See also:Berry and is an important junction on the See also:Orleans railway; there are several large manufactories for the See also:production of agricultural See also:machines, also foundries, See also:porcelain, See also:brick and See also:tile See also:works and See also:glass works. A technical school of See also:mechanics and a See also:branch of the Bank of France are among the institutions of the town.
