The nearest railway stations are Govilon (5 m.) and Gilwern (4 m.) on the See also:London & See also:North-Western railway, but a See also:mail and passenger motor service See also:running between See also:Abergavenny and Brecon passes through the town. It is also served by the Brecon & See also:Newport See also:Canal, which passes through Llangattock about a mile distant. See also:Agriculture is almost the See also:sole See also:industry of the See also:district. The town derives its name from a See also:British fortress, See also:Crag Hywel, commonly called Table See also:Mountain, about 2 M. N.N.E. of the town.
