FIRUZKUH , a small See also:

province of See also:Persia, with a See also:population of about 5000, paying a yearly See also:revenue of about Soo. Its See also:chief See also:place is a See also:village of the same name picturesquely situated in a valley of the See also:Elburz, about 90 M. See also:east of See also:Teheran, at an See also:elevation of 6700 ft. and in 35° 46' N. and 52° 48' E. It has See also:post and See also:telegraph offices and a population of 2500. A precipitous cliff on the eastern See also:side of the valley is surmounted by the ruins of an See also:ancient fort popularly ascribed to See also:Alexander the See also:Great.
