He was also for many years secretary of the Royal See also:Academy of Sciences of Gottingen. He published observations on geology and mineralogy in See also:Spain and See also:Italy as well as in central and See also:northern See also:Europe: he wrote on See also:gypsum, See also:pyrites, See also:felspar, tachylite, cordierite and on some eruptive rocks, and he devoted much See also:attention to the crystals See also:developed during metallurgical processes.
