(1901) 25,458. It is of See also:modern growth and possesses several handsome churches, chapels and public buildings. The See also:Queen's See also:Park, See also:purchased and laid out at a cost of £11,000 with See also:money which devolved to Queen See also:Victoria in right of her duchy and See also:county See also:palatine of See also:Lancaster, was opened in 1879. Heywood See also:Hall in the See also:neighbour-See also:hood of the See also:town was the See also:residence of See also:Peter Heywood, who contributed to the See also:discovery of the See also:Gunpowder See also:Plot.
