It now denotes all those peoples of Malaysia and See also:Polynesia who are not to be classified as See also:Malays or See also:Papuans, but are of Caucasic type. Among these are the Battaks of See also:north See also:Sumatra; many of the Bornean See also:Dyaks and Philippine Islanders, and the large See also:brown See also:race of See also:east Polynesia which includes Samoans, Maoris, Tongans, Tahitians, See also:Marquesas Islanders and the Hawaiians.
