He is particularly successful in the rendering of rustling See also:silk and satin dresses and draperies. His See also:historical and imaginative See also:works are as modern in spirit and as unacademical as his portraits. At the Munich Pinakothek is his See also:painting " Jairi Tochterlein " (1886), whilst the See also:Konigsberg Museum contains his "See also:Roman See also:Bath," and the Liebieg collection in See also:Reichenberg the " See also:Audience with See also:Louis XV.," the first picture that See also:drew See also:attention to his See also:talent.
