It is traditionally the birthplace of St See also:Patrick, whose See also:father is said to have acted there as a See also:Roman See also:magistrate. Roman remains occur in the See also:district, and the See also:Wall of See also:Antoninus ran through the See also:parish. . To the north, occupying an See also:area of about 6 in. from See also:east to See also:west and 5 in. from north to See also:south run the Kilpatrick Hills, of which the highest points are Duncomb and Fynloch See also:Hill (each 1313 ft.).
