Leader Williams, an engineer, received his See also:art See also:education first at the See also:Worcester School of See also:Design and later in the See also:schools of the Royal See also:Academy. He began to exhibit at the Academy in 1854, was elected A.R.A. in 1883 and R.A. in 1898, and became exceedingly popular as a painter of landscape. His subjects are attractive and skilfully composed. He was awarded a See also:gold See also:medal at the See also:Paris See also:Exhibition in 1889, and was made a See also:knight of the See also:Legion of See also:Honour. One of his pictures, " The Valley of the Llugwy," is in the See also:National See also:Gallery of See also:British Art. See The See also:Life and See also:Work of B. W. Leader, R.A., by See also:Lewis Lusk, Art See also:Journal See also:Office (1901).
