This seems to have involved a human See also:sacrifice, and a feast in which the See also:man who received the portion of a human victim was changed to a See also:wolf, as Lycaon had been after sacrificing a See also:child. The See also:altar of Zeus consists of a See also:great See also:mound of ashes with a retaining See also:wall. It was said that no shadows See also:fell within the precincts; and that any who entered it died within the See also:year.
