The See also:river Poik enters the cavern 6o ft. below its mouth, and is heard murmuring in its recesses. In the Kaiser-See also: The connexion with the Ottokar grotto was established in 18go. The Magdalene grotto, about an See also:hour's walk to the See also:north, is celebrated for the extraordinary subterranean amphibian, the See also:proteus anguinus, first discovered there.
