APOLLYON , the " foul fiend " who assaulted See also:

'AsroXXbwv), which means " destroyer " (&rroXAbety, to destroy), is taken from Rev. ix. rr, where it represents the See also:Hebrew word See also:Abaddon (lit. " See also:place of destruction," but here personified). The See also:identification with the See also:Asmodeus (q.v.) of See also:Tobit iii. 8 is erroneous.
