He represented the See also:duke of See also:Savoy at the See also:court of See also:Rome under Clement VIII. and See also:Paul V., and was See also:ambassador to See also:Spain under See also:Kings See also:Philip III. and IV. He died on the 4th of See also:August 1627. Germonius is best known for his See also:treatise on ambassadors, De legatis principum et populorum libri See also:tees (Rome, 1627). The See also:book is diffuse, pedantic and some-what heavy in See also:style, but valuable historically as written by a theorist who was also an See also:expert See also:man of affairs.
