He first exhibited at the National Academy in 1868, was elected an See also:associate of the Academy in 1879, and received its See also:Thomas B. See also:Clarke See also:prize in 1886. He was a member of the American See also:Water Color Society and of the New York See also:Etching See also:Club, and was an excellent teacher. Satterlee died in Brooklyn on the 28th of May 1908. Among his favourite subjects were Arab See also:life and figures in the See also:costume of the colonial See also:period.
