BATRACHOMYOMACHIA (Gr. (3arpaxos, " See also:

frog," Ails, " See also:mouse," and µaxrl, " See also:battle "), the " Battle of Frogs and Mice," a comic epic or See also:parody on the Iliad, definitely attributed to See also:Homer by the See also:Romans, but according to See also:Plutarch (De529 Herodoti Malignitate, 43) the See also:work of Pigres of See also:Halicarnassus, the See also:brother (or son) of See also:Artemisia, See also:queen of Carla and ally of See also:Xerxes. Some See also:modern scholars, however, assign it to an See also:anonymous poet of the See also:time of See also:Alexander the See also:Great. Edition by A. Ludwich (1896).
