Here he remained ten years, and on returning to See also:London he published his largest See also:work, See also:Oriental Scenery, in six large volumes, not completed till 18o8. From 1795 till 1828 he continued to exhibit Eastern subjects, temples, See also:jungle hunts, &c., and at the same time continued the publication of illustrated See also:works. These are— Views of Calcutta; Oriental Scenery, 144 plates; Views in See also:Egypt; Excavations at See also:Ellora; Picturesque Voyage to See also:China. These were for the most See also:part executed in See also:aquatint. He was elected an Academician in 1799, See also:fellow of the Royal Society about the same time, and at different times member of several See also:minor See also:societies. His nephews both died before him; his See also:Indian See also:period had made him See also:independent, and he lived a See also:bachelor See also:life in much respect at See also:Kensington till his See also:death on the 19th of See also:March 1840.
