Almost the entire territory is composed of hills and broken ground, but there are no lofty peaks, the highest having an See also:elevation of less than 1400 ft. above See also:sea-level. The maharaja is the See also:head of the See also:clan, which claims descent from See also:Krishna.

It See also:dates from 1348, and is well situated in a position naturally defended by ravines on the See also:north and east, while it is further protected by a See also:great See also:wall.
