Olney is served by the See also:Baltimore & See also:Ohio See also:South-western, the Illinois Central, and the See also:Cincinnati, See also:Hamilton & See also:Dayton See also:railways, and is a See also:terminus of the Ohio See also:River See also:Division of the last. It has a See also:Carnegie library and a city See also:park of 55 acres. Olney is an important See also:shipping point for the agricultural products of this See also:district; oil is found in the vicinity; and the city has various manufactures. The See also:municipality owns its See also:water-See also:works. Olney was settled about 1842 and was first chartered as a city in 1867.
