market See also:town of See also:county Down, See also:Ireland, in the See also:east See also:parliamentary See also:division, on the western See also:shore of See also:Strangford Lough. Pop. (1901), 1410. See also:Linen manufacture is the See also:principal See also:industry, and agricultural produce is exported. Killyleagh was an important stronghold in See also:early times, and the See also:modern See also:castle preserves the towers of the old See also:building. See also:Sir See also:John de Courcy erected this among many other fortresses in the neighbourhood; it was besieged by See also:Shane O'See also:Neill (1567), destroyed by See also:Monk (1648), and subsequently rebuilt. The town was incorporated by See also:James I., and returned two members to the Irish See also:parliament.
