He has been described as a clergyman, which he never was, and as son of See also:Sir See also:Morris (or See also:Maurice) Abbot, and his writings accordingly entered in the See also:bibliographical authorities as by the See also:nephew of the See also:archbishop of See also:Canterbury. One of the sons of Sir Morris Abbot was, indeed, named George, and he was a See also:man of See also:mark, but the more famous George Abbot was of a different See also:family altogether.
