In 1833 he became Royall See also:professor, and in 1846 succeeded See also:Judge See also:Joseph See also:Story as Dane professor of law in Harvard University; in 1848 he retired from his active duties, and became professor See also:emeritus. After being for many years See also:president of the Massachusetts See also:Bible Society, he died at See also:Cambridge, See also:Mass on the 6th of See also:October 1853. Greenleaf's See also:principal See also:work is a See also:Treatise on the Law of See also:Evidence (3 vols., 1842-1853).
