In 1822 he became See also:professor at the See also:polytechnic school, holding his See also:post until 1854, and some years later he was chosen See also:conservator of the monuments of art. Heideloff devoted his See also:chief See also:attention to the See also:Gothic See also:style of See also:architecture, and the buildings restored and erected by him at Nuremberg and in its neighbourhood attest both his See also:original skill and his purity of See also:taste. He also achieved some success as a painter in See also:water-See also:colour. He died at Hassfurt on the 28th of See also:September 1865.
