Nyack is served by the See also:Northern Railroad of New See also:Jersey (a See also:branch of the See also:Erie), and is connected by See also:ferry with See also:Tarrytown, nearly opposite, on the eastern bank of the Hudson. The New York, See also:Ontario & Western and the See also:West See also:Shore See also:railways pass through West Nyack, a small village about 2 M. west. For about 2 M. above and 3 M. below Nyack the river expands into Tappan Zee or See also:Bay, which is about 3 M. wide immediately opposite the village.
