king See also:Edwin (q.v.). In 627 Edwin was baptized and assigned York to Paulinus as his see. It was at See also:Lincoln that he consecrated See also:Honorius as archbishop of Canterbury. In 633 Edwin was slain at See also:Hatfield See also:Chase and Paulinus retired to See also:Kent, where he became bishop of See also:Rochester. The See also:pallium was not sent him until 634, when he had withdrawn from his See also:province. He died in 644.
