From Willman's See also:death in 1840 Lazarus was See also:principal clarinet at the See also:opera, and all the See also:chief festivals and orchestral concerts. His beautiful See also:tone, excellent phrasing and accurate See also:execution were greatly admired. He was See also:professor of the clarinet at the Royal See also:Academy of See also:Music from 1854 until within a See also:short See also:time of his death, and was appointed to See also:teach his See also:instrument at the Military School of Music, See also:Kneller See also:Hall, in 1858. His last public appearance was at a concert for his benefit in St See also:James's Hall, in See also:June 1892, and he died on the 6th of See also:March 1895.
