Appointed lord-See also:lieutenant of See also:Ireland in 1766, he never visited that See also:country during his See also:short See also:tenure of this See also:office, and, after having served for a short See also:time as keeper of the privy See also:seal, became See also:groom of the See also:stole to George III. in See also:January 1770. He died unmarried on the 18th or loth of See also:March 1775, and was succeeded by his See also:brother.
