In 1863 he went to See also:Dusseldorf, where for almost three years he was at the Royal See also:Academy See also:schools; he subsequently went to See also:Paris, where he studied for a See also:short See also:time under Ernest See also:Hebert. His " Le Retour," from the Paris See also:Salon of 1879, was the first American picture ever bought for the Luxembourg. He received a See also:silver See also:medal in Paris 1889, and See also:gold medals at Paris, 1888, and See also:Vienna, 1893. Examples of his See also:work are in the See also:Sydney Art Museum, N.S.W., and the art museums of See also:Springfield, See also:Mass., Cincinnati, See also:Ohio and New York. His son, GUSTAVE HENRY MOSLER (1875-1906), a See also:pupil of his See also:father and of See also:Leon See also:Bonnat, exhibited at the Salon in Paris, receiving a medal for his " De Profundis " in 1891; his portrait of See also:Governor J. W. See also:Stewart is in the See also:State See also:House, See also:Montpelier, See also:Vermont, and his " Empty See also:Cradle " is in the See also:Toledo Art See also:Club.
