He was ordained in 1500 and held several livings before receiving his first See also:diplomatic See also:mission to arrange a commercial treaty with the See also:archduke of See also:Austria in 1504, and in the See also:Low Countries in 1506 in connexion with the projected See also:marriage between See also:Henry VII. and See also:Margaret of See also:Savoy. In 15e7 he was made See also:Master of the Rolls, and in the following See also:year was employed in various diplomatic See also:missions. He was one of the ambassadors who arranged the See also:Holy See also:League in 1513, and accompanied Henry VIII. during the ensuing' See also:campaign. In 1514 he was made See also:dean of See also:York in See also:succession to See also:Wolsey, and in 1515 he was one of the commissioners for renewing the See also:peace with See also:Francis I. He died in See also:London on the 25th of See also:April 1516. Yonge was on terms of intimate friendship with Dean See also:Colet, and was a correspondent of See also:Erasmus.
