When the Parthians rebelled against See also:Artabanus II. in A.D. 35 they applied for a See also:king to Tiberius, who sent Tiridates. With the assistance of L. See also:Vitellius Tiridates entered See also:Seleucia, but could not maintain himself See also:long (See also:Tacitus, See also:Ann. vi. 32 sqq.; Dio See also:Cass. lviii. 26). The name Tiridates is also See also:borne by some See also:local See also:kings of See also:Persis, and by some Arsacid kings of See also:Armenia and See also:Georgia.
