At See also:Austerlitz he was engaged against the See also:left wing of the See also:French army, under See also:Murat and See also:Lannes, and at See also:Eylau, See also:Heilsberg and See also:Friedland he fought with the most resolute and stubborn courage; In 18o8 by a daring See also:march across the frozen Gulf of See also:Finland he captured the Aland Islands, and in 18o9 he commanded against the See also:Turks at the battles of Rassowa and Tataritza.
